No one hands you an instruction manual when they hand you your baby.

You prepare for pregnancy. You prepare for birth. And then suddenly you're responsible for this tiny person—and the questions start almost immediately. How often should they eat? Are they sleeping too much? Why won't they sleep unless I'm holding them? Is this amount of crying normal? Should I wake them to feed? How do I know they're getting enough milk? What do I actually do with them when they're awake? Is that breathing/noise/poop/rash normal? And even when you find an answer, another question seems to take its place. The information is out there. But it's scattered across Google searches, social media, parenting books, hospital handouts, pediatrician visits, and advice from everyone you know. You don't need more information. You need someone to organize the information that actually matters during these first weeks and walk you through it.

You don't need to know everything about parenting. You just need to know what matters right now.

The newborn stage comes with an enormous learning curve—and you're expected to figure it out while recovering from birth, functioning on interrupted sleep, and caring for a brand-new baby. That's exactly why I created this course. I've taken the questions I hear from new parents, the things I've learned caring for babies as a pediatric PA, and the things I wish I'd understood when I brought home my own newborn, and organized them into one practical resource. No endless researching. No trying to remember 47 things you saw on Instagram. No expecting yourself to already know how to do this. Just clear guidance for the stage you're in.

Introducing the Newborn Playbook.

The first 2 months of the First 12 Months Playbook. The Newborn Playbook was created to help you feel prepared for life with your baby—from those first days at home through the end of the newborn stage. We'll walk through the things that tend to create the most questions during these early weeks: feeding, breastfeeding, pumping, bottles, sleep, naps, soothing, swaddling, common newborn behaviors, health and safety, development, baby wearing, and more. But this isn't about giving you a rigid schedule or making your newborn behave a certain way. It's about helping you understand your baby. You'll learn what's normal, what you can do to support them, when something deserves more attention, and what actually matters right now. So instead of constantly wondering, “Am I doing this right?” you have a trusted place to turn.

But what if...?

“My baby isn't here yet.” Even better. This course is designed to help you prepare before you're trying to learn everything while sleep deprived. Work through it during pregnancy, then come back to individual lessons whenever you need them. “My baby is already here.” Start exactly where you are. You don't need to watch everything before it becomes helpful. Go directly to the question or challenge you're dealing with today. “I don't have time to take a course with a newborn.” I wouldn't either—which is why the lessons are intentionally short and practical. This isn't hours of content you need to binge. Watch a lesson while feeding your baby, during a contact nap, or whenever you have a few minutes. “Every baby is different.” Absolutely. This course isn't built around forcing every baby onto the same schedule. I'm teaching you how newborns work so you can make informed decisions for your baby. “There's so much free information online.” There is. You're not paying me because information doesn't exist. You're paying to have the information organized, filtered, explained, and available in one place so you don't have to research every question yourself.

Meet Your Instructor:  Rebekah Blankenship, MMSc,  PA-C, CAQ- Pediatrics

I'm a pediatric physician assistant with experience in pediatric surgery, outpatient pediatrics, and hospital medicine. But more importantly for this course—I'm a mom. And despite having years of medical training, I remember bringing my own newborn home and realizing how different it felt when I was the parent responsible for making all the decisions. I researched. I second-guessed myself. I wondered whether things were normal. And I learned very quickly that knowing pediatric medicine doesn't automatically make the transition into motherhood simple. That's a big part of why I created Nurtured Nest. I wanted moms to have the resource I would have wanted: evidence-informed guidance from someone who understands babies medically, but also understands what it feels like to be the mom awake with one at 2 a.m. The Newborn Playbook brings those two perspectives together.

The newborn stage is just the beginning.

The Newborn Playbook is actually the first portion of something much bigger: Nurtured Nest's First 12 Months Playbook. I'm building the complete Playbook to walk you through your baby's entire first year—from newborn sleep and feeding all the way through solids, nap transitions, developmental milestones, mobility, weaning, schedules, and everything that changes along the way. But you don't need all of that information today. Start with the stage you're in now. Then, when the complete First 12 Months Playbook is released, Newborn Playbook students will receive an exclusive upgrade option to continue through the rest of baby's first year at a discounted price. You won't have to buy the same content twice. Your Newborn Playbook purchase will be taken into consideration in your exclusive upgrade pricing, so starting now won't mean paying full price again later.

The best time to learn this isn't at 2 a.m. when you're already overwhelmed.

If you're pregnant, start preparing now. If your newborn is already here, start today. Either way, you'll have one trusted resource to come back to whenever the next question comes up. Because those questions are coming.  The goal isn't to eliminate every hard moment of the newborn stage. It's to help you walk into those moments knowing what you're looking at—and what to do next. And that could start today when you enroll now!

Imagine feeling like you actually understand your newborn.

Imagine... Knowing whether your baby's behavior is normal instead of immediately worrying. Understanding why they're waking again after a 30-minute nap. Knowing what to try when they're fussy. Feeling confident that they're feeding well. Understanding when to feed, when to offer sleep, and when they're simply being a newborn. Knowing which things matter—and which things you can stop stressing about. Having somewhere trustworthy to turn when a new question inevitably pops up. You won't know everything. None of us do. But you can enter motherhood informed, prepared, and equipped.

”
“Rebekah at Nurtured Nest has been the best and one of my most trusted resources about sleep and development. As a new mother of two under two, I have been overwhelmed by all the information on how to handle baby sleep and development. It has been challenging to get the practical advice I need, but Rebekah has been more than an advisor! She’s detailed, has multiple approaches to different issues and is highly educated. You can tell she not only enjoys researching and learning, but cares about the family. Rebekah has helped me let go of my anxieties, get out of the nap trap cycle, along with my husband and into a consistent sleep routine with my second baby. I can’t recommend her enough.”
